April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited curiosity. At the age of 12, she composed her first single called Different. At the age of 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing lyrics and perfecting her music skills. Then she began to take trips to write with father in NY and LA. April began also to incorporate additional topics that were related to of her classmates who struggle with such things as peer pressure disabilities and even teen suicide in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer, as well as having partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia and YSL, has cultivated her own fan base. The disability she has is part of her identity, but it's not all of the picture. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't conceal her being disabled however, it doesn't make a point of it. It's a message. This is the message That we all carry numerous identities. We're much more complex than we think that we're. Lockhart through a video message from Nashville home, says that I don't wish for my physical appearance to define myself. I am greater than the physical person I am. My day-today life is not dependent on it. I go about my regular, everyday life and find my own solutions to issues. It's also a part of me, and I believe it should be discussed. Self-acceptance is a lifelong marathon however Lockhart truly inspires me for this aspect. She still admits having gone through a series of phases with her physique, feeling uneasy in some instances to wear clothes that showed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. And she posts her photos on social media. She says that self-love is a journey. I'm not sure when you'll reach the point of no return. It's a long journey. I'm not sure you'll ever get there. I think it's vital to surround yourself those who can discern and understand your heart.
