Zazie was the daughter of a German cabinet maker in Berlin, Germany in the year 1991. Her father is a German cabinet maker who immigrated to the United States in 1990 after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South African-American social worker who hails from New York. Jennifer Aniston also graduated from her high school. Beetz continued in her French study through Skidmore College, after graduating LaGuardia. After college she immediately auditioned and was selected for the part of Van at Atlanta. Beetz is a native of in Berlin and raised by German-American parents as well as an African American mother in New York, spoke both German as well as English when she lived in her house. Zazie was a stage performer in the local community and on stage in New york throughout her early years. Zazie discovered that she enjoyed acting while at the school. Zendaya achieved her Disney Channel breakout role thanks her impressive dancing skills. In 2010, the actress and dancer finally landed her breakout performance when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show "Shake It Up" alongside co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya's vegetarianism started at age eleven when she went to the local slaughterhouse on a journey with her Dad. PEOPLE reported that she said: "I thought all those animals were horrifically cruel getting crammed into the place and waiting for slaughter. "I couldn't have believed this was the way I'd obtained my food!" In the past, her daughter has stuck to a vegan diet.
